"opinion on Primer"

it is thee best $7,000 film ever made, do you really need more then that? cat the reason you feel as if you are not getting some aspect of it is because he misled you into believing that you can somehow understand what is in actuality... completely absent

cheese without a doubt, a huge achievement in film. I just feel I should see it again now that I know "where it's coming from". The first time I was so unsuspecting when the narrative began to fragment. I simply stopped trying to put it together and just watched what happened.

i watched primer last night, i enjoyed it.
7000dollars, well spent money i´d say.

Bronson: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1172570/
the info on imdb might be a little misleading. but it really is about a englands craziest guy ever. who has been spending the longest sentence.

Död Snö: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278340/
this one has become a hit in sweden! it is a nutty norweigan movie about nazi-zombies. in true spirit of gore, splatter a la braindead.

certainly see it again brooks, maybe a few times!!! there are huge deconstructions of the plot lines and theories on the forum he setup for the film if thats your thing here

he's self taught as well

Bronson looks interesting, never heard of it. dead snow i haven't seen either but it has been getting a lot of attention for obvious reasons i suppose albino i'm pretty burned out on zombie stuff these days though (not to mention world war fucking two), an ex-friend was rather obsessed with that and horror in general for a period of time.... Fulci, Argento, Romaro, etc.... but the newer spoofy, silly, exploitation stuff is just not doing anything for me. why not spend all of that time and effort on something that you ‘the creator’ actually fucking cares about? i know its just fun shit but... fuck i'm getting old

this is not to say that all screwball horror is shit... its clearly not (older jackson comes to mind) but the new stuff is missing so much of what the greats had (like taste and direction). i could bitch about digital verses film but who cares anymore, it can all be used well... it just doesn't happen as often as it should

while we’re at it, does anyone know of anything else out there on the order of netflix or hulu? hopefully something that doesn't require you to install a bloated spyware filled poorly designed proprietary player

yeah its kind of hard to talk about new shit because you never know if its going to be trash or not, lots of disappointments out there.

and i hate that the "system" is still holding on to the idea that opening day/week numbers have something to do with whether or not the film is actually GOOD. the only thing it proves is whether or not the advertising/anticipation did its job.... nothing else

I'm going to see District9 at 10:15 tomorrow morning...

I'm cautiously stoked...

Been a while since a 'big' movie kicked my ass and I hope this one does.

Then next Friday it's Inglourious Basterds - I took the day off work months ago when I first saw the trailer and got the release date. Tarantino = religious holiday for me.

The week after brings Halloween2...critics be damned, I am a Rob Zombie fan.

And hidden amongst these dates is my 7 year wedding anniversary: wooka chooka!

August is being unbelievably kind to me this year.
